Motability is an organisation which helps people use their Higher Rate Disability Mobility Allowance or War Pension to obtain a vehicle and ensure they are kept mobile and can stay in contact with friends and family. As Motabilty Premier Partners we help our customers with this and provide worry-free motoring to them.
Motability booking calls will make use of call script ‘05M Motability Service’. The person making the call’s will record in both the call and customer CRM notes if the vehicle is due a Service or MOT due, and when it would need to be completed.
Service Bookings:
The CST will contact customers as they appear on each BMW and MINI Centre’s Motability Online Application Worklist.
Motability will expect the vehicle’s first service to be booked in and invoiced between 28 days before, and 35 days after the First Service due date.
MOT Bookings:
As a Motability vehicle approaches it’s end of contract, the MOT and an Vehicle Condition Description (VCD) needs to be carried out so that Motability can decide what will happen to the vehicle after the contract has ended.
The CST will contact customers as their vehicles appear on the BMW or MINI Centre’s Motability Online Applications Worklist. The MOT and VCD needs to be completed and invoiced between 90 to 21 days prior to the vehicles contract end date (typically the car’s third birthday.)
When booking a MOT test for a Motability customer, please ensure you include the RTS code “VCD” for the Vehicle Condition Description.
EOWC and Brake Fluid Service on Motability Vehicles:
Due the restrictions around the MOT booking timescale, it is accepted that it is often difficult to carry out an End Of Warranty Check as BMW define that this needs to be completed within the vehicle’s 36th month only.
Further to this, Motability are unwilling to pay for the first Brake Fluid Service at 3 years, due to the vehicle being likely to be at end of contract at this time.
