Bodyshop Facilities:

No onsite bodyshop, please refer customer to either Bedford or Stansted bodyshops.

Stansted send someone over to Cambridge to quote for work twice a week (tues & thurs).

Tyre Booking:

Use ‘LAB’ code to allocate Tyre fitting / disposal (make sure to fill out the tyre details)

Change load skill to BMW or MINI mechanical when loading into diary.

1 tyre = 3 aws

Please contact Parts Department to notify them of required tyre to order and add to wip.

Tyre Insurance:

If the customer has tyre insurance please ask for the vehicle to be left for at least a morning or an afternoon.

If the customer insists on waiting, explain that we cannot guarantee a timescale as we have to wait for the tyre insurance to authorise the work.

Winter Wheels:

Same process for winter wheel swaps but alter the description of the “LAB” code to ‘Carry out winter wheel swap/summer wheel swap’ or similar. 12 aws is required with a Winter Wheel Swap.

Wheels are kept at Pineham and five days notice is required to bring them into stock.

Please contact the parts department after completing the booking and notify them of the booking so that the wheels can be brought into stock.

£84 inc VAT for seasonal tyre storage and fitting.

Can be carried out as waiting if required.

KDS Wheel & Suspension Alignment:

Please use RTS Code “3200150” and “3200630” to make a KDS Booking.

Isofix

If booking alongside any service work, can be completed in 1 day.

If booking with anything other then routine servicing, please allow 2/3 days.

Load as a “QUE” line and change to 36 aw’s and load to Matt Wilkinson or Rob Merrick.

Only 3 Isofix bookings per day.

Crankshaft Guide Bearing Shells

Please tell customer that we may need the vehicle in for 2 days.

If booking a loan car please allocate amount of days accordingly.

DO NOT tell the customer that they may need an engine replacement. (unless asked directly)

Load in the diary as 36 aw’s

Flexible Disc

This can be done in one day but please advise the customer the vehicle may be in for 2 days if the disc does need replacing after the check.

Instrument Panel

Book as the CHECK ONLY first. (8aw’s)

If after the check it does need replacing the part has to be ordered in (currently from Germany) as it is chassis specific.

So please inform the customer that if after the check it does need replacing, it will NOT be carried out the same day and will have to be rebooked when the part arrives.

The part could potentially take up to 1 month to arrive once ordered (should usually be sooner but make the customer aware if asked).

Brake Vacuum

  • Any vehicles having this carried out will need to be in for 2 days.

Programming QEPs

If a vehicle requires re-programming as part of a QEP or Recall, we will need the vehicle over 2 days.
