    • You can only book waiting appointments for servicing and very simple repairs but they must be under 12aw’s in total for the work including the VHC. (if you are unsure if something can be carried out at the showroom then ask someone on site)
    • To load it into the diary, make sure that you change the load skills of all the work (that includes VHC) to W’ Workshop 2.
    • You must also use a SHOWROOM WAITING appointment and NOT a Fastlane/Pitstop.
  • Please also make a note somewhere on the booking that it is for the showroom so that it is clear on the jobcard when printed.

If we can try to book as much waiting work at the showroom as we can it will free up space at the service centre and decrease the lead time for all day bookings.

MOTs cannot be carried out at the showroom!

Tyre Booking:

GroupTyre fitter carried out the tyre bookings for Farnborough (Ash Vale)

Use ‘TYRES’ code to allocate Tyre fitting / disposal (make sure to fill out the tyre details)

Change to 0.01 aw’s

No FastLane/Pitstop/Tyre appointment needed.

Please contact Parts Department to notify them of required tyre to order and add to wip.

Tyre Insurance:

If the customer has tyre insurance please ask for the vehicle to be left for at least a morning or an afternoon.

If the customer insists on waiting, explain that we cannot guarantee a timescale as we have to wait for the tyre insurance to authorise the work.

Winter Wheels:

Winter wheel swaps are carried out by technicians (not the tyre tech) and must be loaded as a FastLane/Pitstop if waiting.

Use wheel swap code “3610360” for winter wheel swap. Maximum of 4 per day. Advise customer of 90 min waiting time including VHC & wash.

Winter wheels stored at Ashvale- £10 per month storage fee. (taken by direct debit)

Winter Wheel swaps can only be carried out at Ashvale

KDS Wheel & Suspension Alignment:

Please use RTS Code “3200150” and “3200630” to make a KDS Booking.

Flexible Disc

This can be done in one day but please advise the customer the vehicle may be in for 2 days if the disc does need replacing after the check.

Instrument Panel

Book as the CHECK ONLY first. (8aw’s)

If after the check it does need replacing the part has to be ordered in (currently from Germany) as it is chassis specific.

So please inform the customer that if after the check it does need replacing, it will NOT be carried out the same day and will have to be rebooked when the part arrives.

The part could potentially take up to 1 month to arrive once ordered (should usually be sooner but make the customer aware if asked).

Programming QEPs

If a vehicle requires re-programming as part of a QEP or Recall, we will need the vehicle for the day.
